Donald McCabe Student of Merit Award

The former Board of Directors of the Center for Academic Integrity established this award to recognize the work of Dr. Donald McCabe, its founding president.  Dr. McCabe's untiring efforts over the past 15 years have focused discourse on academic integrity on college and university campuses and his vision has extended that discourse into secondary schools and the international arena.

The Center for Academic Integrity is deeply grateful to Dr. McCabe for his support and advice and we offer the Student of Merit Award in his name to honor his spirit and dedication to promoting the ideals of academic integrity.

Criterion:

  1. A student who promotes academic integrity at a historically black college, community college or a school that is not a member of the Center for Academic Integrity.

The award provides the conference registration fee and reimburses travel to the conference which, due to budgetary constraints, the college or university would be unable to offer.  The student is not eligible for the award if he or she would be attending the conference with other students, faculty, or administrators who will receive institution funds that support their attendance.  The student will be publicly recognized at the annual CAI conference.
