Clemson University is a public land-grant institution located in the northwest corner of South Carolina along the dynamic I-85 corridor that connects Atlanta, Georgia and Charlotte, North Carolina. The campus is situated along the banks of Lake Hartwell in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains.

Founded in 1992, CAI provides a forum to identify, affirm, and promote the values of academic integrity among students, faculty, teachers and administrators. CAI is a program center within the Rutland Institute for Ethics at Clemson University in Clemson, SC. Position Description

JOB PURPOSE

The director is responsible for CAI's sustenance, growth, and development, which entails, the following tasks: planning, fundraising, oversight of programs and operations, supervision of personnel, event planning, grant writing and administration, marketing, membership retention, recruitment of new members, and management of CAI member and non-member services. CAI's director is the expert on call for members, the media and the general public.

JOB FUNCTIONS

1. Lead the development of programs on the Clemson campus (a) in the Graduate School, (b) with Undergraduates Studies and (c) in partnership with the College of Health Education and Human Development, among others; and maintain and expand CAI's international prominence in the field of academic integrity. 2. Collaborate with CAI's Advisor Council, which consists of administrators and faculty from several countries. In particular, Aid the Advisory Council in composing its charter (basically a statement of member responsibilities) and mange its annual meeting (to take place in conjunction with the conference). The Director will communicate regularly with the Chair of the Advisory Council and the membership. E/25%

3. Supervise CAI's administrative assistant as well as graduate assistants working for CAI's director will report to the director of the Rutland Institute for Ethics. E/20%

4. Responsible for coordination and direction of CAI's international conference (overseeing them selection, logistics, the operation of the conference committee, insurance of the call or proposals, arrangements for keynote speakers, etc.) E/10%

5. Manage CAI?s award nomination, selection, presentation; oversee existing grants with the Templeton Foundation and actively seek other grant opportunities. E/10%

Qualifications

EDUCATION

Required: A master's degree in an academic discipline, higher education administration or related field. Preferred: Terminal degree in an academic discipline, higher education administration or related field.

EXPERIENCE

1. Minimum of five years of professional association management or related experience in higher education

2. Successful grant writing and fundraising experience

3. Demonstrated managerial and leadership skills

4. Strong track record of fiscal management and administrative experience

5. Demonstrated knowledge of, commitment to, and expertise in issues of academic integrity and ethics. Appreciate and understand the importance of a systematic, reflective and responsible approach to ethical decision making. Have extensive experience in working with business and professional; people. Have the capacity to manage and coordinate complex and diverse tasks while exhibiting appropriate attention to detail. Possess excellent organizational, written and oral communication and problem-solving skills.
