As President of a web-based distance learning institution, I am especially sensitive to the issues of integrity that confront us all in these rapidly changing times in higher education. The medium is changing-- but the CAI message remains relevant and critical: academic integrity is as important in the virtual environment as it is in the campus setting. I have found that CAI membership has been an important anchor for us as we wrestle with the challenges to academic integrity posed by distance learning. I urge you to consider membership for your institution.
