Transportation
Attendees will be expected to arrange their own transportation to and from St. Louis, as well as transportation from an airport or train station to the hotel. For attendees who prefer to use public transportation, Metro day passes are projected to cost approximately $5.00/pass. Daily parking passes on campus also are expected to cost approximately $5.00.
To St. Louis
Air
Lambert‐St. Louis International Airport is located 10 miles from Clayton hotels. Lambert is serviced by
American Airlines, Southwest Airlines, Delta, Northwest, U.S. Airways, and a number of other major carriers. It works with rental car companies Alamo, Avis, Budget, Dollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National, and Thrifty. For more information, visit www.flystl.com.
Train
Amtrak stops in downtown St. Louis, approximately 10 miles from Clayton hotels.
Bus
Greyhound and Megabus both travel to St. Louis, and both stops are in downtown St. Louis. Megabus offers service to St. Louis from Columbia, MO, Kansas City, MO, Chicago, IL, and Normal, IL. For more information, see www.greyhound.com and www.megabus.com/us/stops.
Car
Several interstates feed directly into the St. Louis area, including I‐64, 44, 70, and 55.
Highway 64/40 Construction
Parts of the highway around Wash. U. will be closed during the conference, but alternative routes are available.

Cab Fare
Cab fare from the airport, Amtrak, or bus stations to Clayton costs about $30.00‐40.00.
Public Transportation by MetroLink Rail (www.metrostlouis.org)
• Metro operates both a rail line and bus routes.
• Metro rail (MetroLink) operates two stops at the airport, one near Clayton hotels, and two at the
University’s Danforth Campus.
• One rail line runs directly between Clayton, campus, and downtown St. Louis.
• There is no direct rail line between the airport and Clayton or campus.
• Metro bus has one major station on campus. Several local bus routes intersect at the campus
station.
• Metro’s paratransit service is Metro Call‐A‐Ride.

Bus and Shuttle Services
One Metro bus route passes near the hotels.
Additionally, the Crowne Plaza and Sheraton operate a
few low‐capacity shuttles (4‐22 psgr.) that can help transport attendees. Shuttles from both hotels are
complimentary to and from the airport.
• The Crowne Plaza complimentary shuttle service to and from the Lambert-St. Louis International Airport (STL) runs daily 6:00 a.m. (CST) to 10:00 p.m. (CST).
• The Sheraton Clayton Plaza complimentary shuttle service to and from the Lambert-St. Louis International Airport (STL) runs daily 6:30 a.m. (CST) to 10:30 p.m. (CST). Upon arrival at Lambert International Airport, guests should go to the local hotel phone bank located in baggage claim and dial #54 for pick up instructions from our shuttle dispatcher. Cell phone users may speak with the dispatcher by dialing (314) 863-0400 direct.
Visitor Parking
The Danforth Campus has 4,500 spaces in surface lots and 485 spaces in its new underground garage. Parking permit charges vary on campus, but cost approximately $5.00/day in yellow zones. These zones do not require a permit on weekends. parking.wustl.edu/visitor.htm has more information.
Public parking is free on weekends in St. Louis and Clayton.
