Bert Ellis rose to the top of a business empire with a handshake and his name, carrying this school's tradition of honor into a world where deals must be backed by contracts.
While he attests his Virginia education "cemented an upbringing," Ellis credits this institution with solidifying his trust and responsibility."
"Virginia is one of my best features," he said.
And Ellis says he recognizes that same attribute in other Virginia graduates. "We all take business risks; but when you deal with a Virginia graduate, you are not taking a character risk.
