"There is no better place to learn and to grow than under the umbrella of our honor code and community of trust," Barber says of The University.
Crashing helmets. An elusive tailback carrying the football into the opponent's end zone. Thousands of Wahoos swaying to the Good Old Song after one of his 31 Cavalier career touchdowns.
These are the sights and sounds of Tiki Barber's remarkable football career at the University of Virginia. When Barber graduated from the University in 1997 with a degree in Commerce, his football achievements were stellar enough for the New York Giants to pick him in the second round of the NFL draft. But it is more than football tactics and computer skills that have branded Barber as a fine Virginia alumnus. While Barber's opponents meet his strength on the field, the University prides itself on Barber's strength of character.
And Barber attests that his University grooming had much to do with that.
"There is no better place to learn and to grow than under the umbrella of our honor code and community of trust," Barber says of The University.
